Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 20, 2026

FindGolfGames ("we", "us", "our") helps golfers discover and post local golf tournaments and events at findgolfgames.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have, including rights for California residents.

1. Personal information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information (using the categories defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act):

  • Identifiers — name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), account ID, and IP address.
  • Internet or network activity — pages viewed, interactions, approximate device and browser information, and activity collected through cookies and the Meta Pixel.
  • Geolocation — coarse location inferred from the zip codes you search and from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Commercial and event information — tournaments and events you post, including course, dates, fees, and the contact details you choose to include.
  • User content — discussion posts, comments, and uploaded event flyers.

We collect this information directly from you, automatically as you use the Service, and from our service providers (for example, analytics and advertising tools). We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government IDs, precise geolocation, financial account numbers, or health data, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger the right to limit its use.

2. How we use your information

  • Operate the Service: create your account, publish your listings, and power search and discussions.
  • Communicate with you about your account, such as email verification and password resets.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug the Service.
  • Understand how the Service is used and improve it.
  • Measure, target, and improve advertising (see sections 4 and 5).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Public content

Tournament listings, the contact details you add to them, uploaded flyers, discussion posts, and your public profile are visible to anyone who visits the Service. Please only include contact information you are comfortable sharing publicly.

4. How we share information

We share personal information with service providers that process it only to perform services for us:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
  • Resend — sending account emails such as verification.
  • Meta (Facebook) — advertising and measurement via the Meta Pixel.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights and users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Cookies, advertising, and "sharing"

We use cookies and the Meta Pixel to understand site usage and to measure and target advertising on Meta platforms. When we send identifiers and activity data to Meta for advertising, this is considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (and may be considered a "sale") under California law. We do not exchange your personal information for money.

You can opt out of this sharing at any time using the controls in section 7, and you can manage ad personalization in your Meta ad settings. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for DNT, so we do not respond to DNT signals. We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

California residents (and anyone else) may opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use the control below. Your choice is saved on this browser; if you use multiple browsers or devices, please set it on each. A browser sending a Global Privacy Control signal is opted out automatically.

8. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, and the purposes.
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (see section 7).
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for such purposes).
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.

To exercise the right to know, delete, or correct, email us at support@findgolfgames.com from the email address associated with your account, or delete your content and account directly in the Service. We will verify your request by confirming control of that email address before acting on it, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

9. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Content you post remains until you delete it or close your account. We may retain limited information as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
